The coat of arms of Snowden or Snowdon, which were brought to Maryland by the first Richard Snowden, were:

  • Arms - argent, on a Fesse azure, between three escallops gules three azure mullets azure, pierced of the field.
  • Crest - A peacock in his pride

The Snowden motto is "Dum Spiro Spero" (while I breathe, I hope).
